¡VIVA! is a celebration of The School That Works and is Cristo Rey's signature fundraising gala that celebrates our unique educational model while raising essential funds for our students.
Named after the Spanish expression meaning "long live" or "hooray," ¡VIVA! is part of the powerful phrase "¡VIVA Cristo Rey!" which means "Long Live Christ the King" – a declaration that honors our school's namesake and Catholic identity.
This elegant evening typically features student testimonials, live auctions, fine dining, and entertainment that showcases our students' talents and achievements. ¡VIVA! provides critical financial support for our Corporate Work Study Program, academic initiatives, and student activities while giving donors, corporate partners, and community supporters the opportunity to directly witness the impact of their generosity.
The event serves as both a celebration of our students' accomplishments and a vital funding source that helps ensure every student, regardless of economic background, can access transformative education.
¡VIVA! was an incredible opportunity to introduce Cristo Rey Orange County to the community at large and ensure the awareness of the school, its unique Corporate Work Study program, and the impact it is having on students and families.
